NOW HIRING: FIBER SplicerThe Fiber Splicer is responsible for seamless splicing and termination of fiber optic cables, comprehensive testing, troubleshooting cable issues, and maintaining fiber optic cables including cable detection infrastructure.

- Fiber Optic Cable Preparation
- Prep fiber optic cables for new or existing splice enclosures.
- Perform splicing for large count cables, micro‑cables, butt splices, and mid‑sheath/express cable entry.
- Installation of Fiber Termination Equipment
- Install fiber termination panels.
- Install fiber terminals in an environmental cabinet or underground vault.
- Test and Troubleshooting
- Test cables using optical test equipment (OTDR, power meter, fiber identifier, and fiber scope).
- Document, troubleshoot, and repair fiber.
- Fiber Optic Cable Installation
- Bond and ground cables per current specifications.
- Use and understand fiber optic color code.
- Splice fiber using mechanical and fusion methods.
- Locate and repair fiber optic cable faults without causing signal failure interruptions.
- Validate and test end‑to‑end service provisioning for cable network.
- Confirm accurate cable terminations at fiber termination panels.
- Maintain project documentation (production sheets, timesheets, fiber splicing redlines).
- Utilize Mapcom M4, Bluebeam, Visio Professional, and other software to plan and document fiber splicing activities.
- Two (2) years of fiber splicing experience.
- Vocational school training or apprenticeship preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent GED required.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Two (2) to four (4) years of fiber splicing experience.
- Vocational school training or apprenticeship preferred.
