HVAC Field Service Supervisor

Temp-Con is building a specialized Industrial & Critical Systems Service Team to support large commercial buildings, manufacturing facilities, and complex mechanical systems. We are looking for a highly skilled HVAC professional who wants to do more than turn wrenches—someone who wants to mentor others, solve the toughest problems, and help build and lead a team for the future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced field support for complex service calls involving large commercial and industrial HVAC systems.
  • Serve as the senior technical resource for service technicians, assisting with diagnostics, repairs, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Diagnose and repair centrifugal, screw, and scroll chillers, including air-cooled and water-cooled systems.
  • Troubleshoot cooling towers, pumps, hydronic systems, boilers, AHUs, RTUs, VAV systems, refrigeration equipment, and related mechanical systems.
  • Assist the Service Manager with technical support, job planning, manpower coordination, and customer issue resolution.
  • Mentor and develop less-experienced technicians through field coaching and hands-on instruction.
  • Identify project opportunities, equipment replacements, and modernization strategies for customers.
  • Help establish standards and best practices for Temp-Con's Industrial & Critical Systems Service Group.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 7–10+ years of commercial and industrial HVAC service experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with large-tonnage chillers and central plant equipment.
  • Strong understanding of hydronic systems, refrigeration circuits, electrical diagnostics, and commercial HVAC controls.
  • Experience with start-up, commissioning, and operational verification of commercial HVAC systems.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer service.
  • Previous leadership or mentoring experience preferred.
  • Manufacturing, industrial, laboratory, healthcare, or mission-critical facility experience is highly desirable.

Education & Certifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • HVAC Trade School, Apprenticeship, or associate degree preferred.
  • EPA Universal Certification required.
  • Factory training on major HVAC/chiller equipment preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Why Join Temp-Con?

  • Help build a specialized Industrial & Critical Systems Service Team.
  • Work on large buildings, manufacturing facilities, and complex mechanical systems.
  • Shape the technical direction of a growing division.
  • Mentor the next generation of technicians and grow into a leadership role.
