Work Schedule, Hours per week: 6:00 AM-4:30 PM Tuesday
- Friday, 40 hours per week

Starting Salary Range: $23.68-$30.64 and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume.
Position SummaryResponsible for interior and exterior carpentry maintenance for Johnson County Community College (JCCC) campus buildings.
Required Qualifications- Requires a High School Diploma and 3+ years of related experience.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record to be insured to operate college vehicles.
- Completes assignments with little supervision.
- May assist less-experienced team members.
- Perform preventive or breakdown maintenance for assigned work orders.
- Perform all construction and renovation duties in accordance with departmental standards and applicable codes.
- Install various types of suspended ceiling grids per plans and modify ceiling tiles by cutting as needed.
- Build or install all door frames, doors, door locks, and all types of door hardware.
- Install, maintain, refinish, or repair flooring.
- Perform various painting work with latex, oil, epoxy, stain, or varnish.
- Estimate, order, or prepare supply purchase requests within a specified budget.
- Maintain and secure the safekeeping and proper usage of carpentry maintenance equipment and supplies.
- Support a clean and safe environment by using proper work techniques and utilizing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform other duties as needed for special events and projects.
- Perform winter snow removal on campus by snowplowing, sweeping, shoveling, and applying ice melt, salt, and sand when needed.
- Partner with the electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, custodial, and grounds crews to help maintain the campus.
