JOB ROLE: Senior Residential Activity Worker

LOCATION: Maer, ST5 – a Full UK Driving Licence is required as this role is based here.

SHIFT PATTERNS: 39 hours per week – a rota of 4 consecutive days followed by 7 days off, then 3 consecutive days of work followed by another 7 days off.

REQUISITES:

• Full UK Driving Licence with access to a vehicle
• NVQ/QCF Level 3 or higher in Residential Childcare or Health & Social Care
• Right to work in the UK
• Age over 21
• Enhanced DBS check (paid by Keys Group)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and deliver adventurous outdoor activities, fostering confidence and resilience in young people.
• Provide direct support and build positive relationships with young people, aiding their daily routines and emotional development.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of all children’s documentation and financial records.
• Uphold safeguarding and health & safety standards, including risk assessments.
• Supervise staff and provide mentorship, supporting their professional growth.
• Maintain quality care in line with Ofsted standards.
• Oversee shift operations, ensuring care objectives are met and facilitating effective handovers.
