Duration: 6-Month Contract

End Date: February 10, 2027

Pay Rate: Up to $60/hr on W2

Key Bank is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Generative AI Innovation to design, prototype, and deliver AI-powered software solutions for its Institutional Banking organization. This is a hands‑on engineering role focused on building proof‑of‑concepts, evaluating emerging AI technologies, and transitioning successful solutions into production.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full-stack/web development
, recent experience with Generative AI or Agentic AI
, and expertise in cloud technologies, APIs, and microservices.

• Design, develop, and deploy proof‑of‑concept and production‑ready Generative AI applications.
• Build AI‑powered solutions using LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI frameworks, APIs, workflow automation, and cloud services
  .
• Rapidly prototype software solutions to validate business ideas and technical feasibility.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify AI use cases that improve productivity and operational efficiency.
• Integrate AI platforms with enterprise applications and cloud‑based systems.
• Participate in governance, risk, compliance, and model review processes for AI initiatives.
• Develop clean, maintainable, secure, and scalable code using modern engineering practices.
• Create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and implementation guides.
• Present technical solutions, prototypes, and recommendations to leadership.
• Support production deployments, troubleshooting, and continuous improvements.
• Stay current with emerging Generative AI technologies, tools, and industry trends.

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Recent hands‑on experience with Generative AI or Agentic AI
  .
• Experience developing distributed applications using modern programming languages.
• Strong experience with Microservices and REST APIs
  .
• Experience working with AI governance processes, risk, or compliance pipelines
  .
• Strong programming skills (
  Python preferred
  , but any modern language is acceptable).
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, innovative environment.

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Microsoft Azure

• Experience implementing:
• Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG)

• Experience with in regulated industries (Banking, Financial Services, Healthcare, Insurance, etc.).
