STATUS: PART-TIME (NON-EXEMPT)

Sports Coach will lead the facility's youth (and some adult) sports offerings, including, but not limited to:
Leagues, Developmental Classes, After-School/Home School programs, Clinics, Camps, Private/Semi-Private Trainings, Sports Performance Sessions, and Birthday Parties. The Sports Coach at Advent Health Sports Park at Bluhawk is responsible for coaching and developing athletes in various sports. This role involves designing and implementing training programs, providing instruction and feedback, and fostering a positive and competitive environment for athletes.

• Teaching relevant skills, tactics, and techniques to a wide range of athletes, individuals and group
• Develop and implement training programs tailored to the skill levels and goals of athletes
• Conduct training sessions, focusing on technical skills, tactics, and physical conditioning
• Teach fundamental and advanced techniques in the specific sport
• Monitoring, evaluating, and enhancing athlete performance and needs.
• Providing suitable feedback via positivity, encouragement, example, and motivation
• Demonstrating an activity clearly by breaking down the task or technique into a sequence
• Friendly and courteous with athletes, parents, and team members
• Identifying athlete strengths and areas for development
• Ensuring a safe environment for all athletes
• Implementing the curriculum in an accurate, creative, positive, and efficient fashion

• Coaching licenses (or active pursuit of) preferred
• Familiarity with contemporary coaching methodology
• Neat in appearance and professional in manner and communication
• Inspiring confidence and self-belief

• At least 2 years of appropriate coaching/teaching sport in youth programs for athletes of various aptitudes
• Proven experience as a coach or in a related role, with a strong background in athletics
• Ability to demonstrate and participate in activities
• Must have excellent interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills
• Must be a team player
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, predominately after-school and weekends
• Must possess current CPR/FIRST AID certifications, or willingness to obtain within a specified period

• Must be able to move or lift lightweight equipment
• Position requires standing and activity for extended periods of time (indoors or outdoors), squatting, stooping, jogging, or bending into awkward positions while performing job functions
