Position: Retail Sales Associate- 0452

Full-Time Retail Sales Associate

Pay: $15.00 to $17.70 per hour, plus commission up to 8% on transactions, averaging ~$3.84 per hour on top of hourly rate.

Position Summary

Entry‑level, full‑time sales associate in pawn store locations nationwide. Partners with staff to deliver customer service on lending and retail sides. Greets, engages, processes sales, loans, and other transactions across jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations).

Hourly wage plus commission based on productivity; pay varies by location, qualifications, experience.

Responsibilities
  • Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
  • Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
  • Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and merchandise displays.
  • Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Handles all cash and negotiable items per established policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Answers incoming calls per company standards.
  • Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
  • Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective tools.
  • Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
  • Successfully completes mandatory training.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Willing and able to perform duties requiring standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting for extended periods.
  • Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
  • May assist a customer outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
  • Minimum age 18 years.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team‑oriented.
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficient basic math calculations.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
  • Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
  • Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The commission incentive plan is proprietary. Pawnbrokers can earn 2‑8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance. Details provided during interview.
