Overview

Physical warehouse position unloading tractor trailer loads of furniture and staging them for deliveries.

• Unloading tractor trailer loads of furniture.
• Staging items for deliveries.
• Ensuring items are assembled according to manufacturer directions.
• Performing a minimum daily offloading output as required by management.
• Maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
• Using equipment properly to ensure safety.
• Executing placement of delivery items as specified by management.
• Communicating effectively and working professionally with coworkers.
• Embracing the Werner Final Mile values.
• Maintaining a continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance and working a flexible schedule.

• High school graduate or equivalent experience.
• One or more years of experience in transportation, logistics, customer product assembly, delivery of furniture or appliances, or experience with a moving company.
• Must be 18 years old.
• Able to perform essential functions of the job.
• Speak English and communicate with coworkers; read assembly instructions.

• Seeing and hearing:
  Read documents, 75-100%.
• Communicate in person, 100%.
• Standing and walking, 100%.
• Climbing, stooping, squatting, and kneeling, 0-75%.
• Dexterity: utilizing hand dolly/hand cart, 75-100%.
• Lift more than 50-80 pounds, 75-100%.
