Position: Instructional Aide (Kindergarten)

Classroom Instruction Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teacher by supporting instruction, student learning, and creating a positive classroom culture
• Coach students in the key academic areas of reading, writing, and mathematics
• Support student growth in the essential habits of intellectual and moral virtue
• Facilitate communication with parents and school administration concerning student growth and progress.

Experience and Education

• Education (minimum A.A. or equivalent) relevant to teaching or supporting instruction
• Experience working with grammar- or elementary aged children in an educational setting (3-5 years preferred), in or outside of the school
• Experience in planning activities for grammar- or elementary aged children
• Experience in highly social and relational context
• Experience in a classical Christian school as teacher or student preferred
