Primary Care Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant
Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (No Weekends)
Position Type: Permanent
Compensation: 1099 $ 170,000 annually

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our collaborative primary care team. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care to a diverse population across a variety of clinical settings.

The ideal candidate is clinically confident, communicates effectively with patients and colleagues, and is committed to providing high-quality care while contributing to a team-oriented, forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including detailed histories and physical examinations
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions across a broad patient population
  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
  • Provide care across specialties including primary care, geriatrics, pediatrics, and behavioral health
  • Perform clinical procedures such as suturing, IV placement, catheterization, and phlebotomy
  • Accurately document care using EHR systems (e.g., Epic, eClinicalWorks)
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate referrals to specialty care
  • Deliver telehealth services to support access and continuity of care
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, preventative care, and health maintenance
  • Assist with triage and urgent care needs, including acute symptom management
  • Support patients with complex medical needs, including hospice, dialysis, and memory care
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all regulatory standards

Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted NP or PA license with current board certification
  • Prior experience in primary care required; hospital or trauma experience preferred
  • Strong clinical knowledge, including medical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT coding
  • Proficiency in performing a range of clinical procedures
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics and geriatrics
  • Familiarity with multiple specialties (e.g., infectious disease, gastroenterology, pain management, palliative care)
  • Ability to manage complex and high-acuity cases in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to continuous professional growth and evidence-based practice
