Maintenance Mechanic 1st Shift

We are hiring an experienced Maintenance Mechanic for a 1st-shift opportunity in Oviedo, FL. This position will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial equipment throughout the facility.

Candidates should have a strong mechanical background with experience working on hydraulics, pneumatics, industrial machinery, saws, forklifts, and preventative maintenance. Experience with PLCs and electrical troubleshooting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery, troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems, diagnosing mechanical and electrical equipment issues, maintaining and repairing saws, forklifts, and other shop equipment, performing routine machine servicing, inspections, and cleaning, troubleshooting PLCs and electrical components, completing general facility maintenance as needed, reading and interpreting blueprints and equipment documentation, identifying equipment failures and completing repairs to minimize downtime, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications include previous industrial maintenance or maintenance mechanic experience, strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities, experience with hydraulics and pneumatics, experience performing preventative maintenance, industrial machine repair and servicing experience, knowledge of PLCs and electrical troubleshooting, forklift and industrial saw repair experience is a plus, and ability to work in a hot shop/manufacturing environment.

Pay and benefits include starting pay of $26-$28/hr, $2/hr pay increase after 90 days, company pays 90% of medical benefits, 9 paid holidays, 401(k) with company match, profit sharing, multiple health plan options, and consistent Monday-Friday, 1st-shift schedule.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oviedo, FL.
