Summary Support the Administration Division by completing the Administrative Assistant position duties: ensure the office is run in an accurate and efficient manner; ensure office deadlines are met. The position requires a continuous improvement philosophy as well as the ability to interpret data to discover improvement opportunities.

Education and Experience Required

High school diploma or equivalency Computer/keyboarding skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office suites, Internet, basic financial management; must be able to manage multiple projects

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Apply a customer service attitude while meeting internal/external customer needs.
  • Answer phones, maintain files, screen incoming calls, prepare correspondence and reports.
  • Maintain accurate databases, records, and files, including collecting and disseminating information and data.
  • Create and maintain division requisitions.
  • Assist preparation for all conferences and events.
  • Prepare and maintain in-and-out-of-state travel requests for other divisions as requested.
  • Prepare registration and materials and make travel arrangements for meetings, conferences, and site visits.
  • Follow agency operational procedures and apply continuous improvement strategies by being able to identify and act on opportunities for process improvement.
Salary and Benefits

$34,576.30 - $38,273.32 The state provides a benefit allowance to help you pay for insurance premiums which include health, dental, life, and disability insurance. The amount of your allowance, $9,051.60 - $21,942.72, is determined based upon the dependents you choose to include in health coverage. State paid teacher’s retirement pension and flexible benefits plan. Vacation leave and 15 days sick leave and 11 paid holidays Employee assistance program and flex-time work schedule options.

Total salary and benefits package valued at $47,904.61 - $64,771.02.

Physical Demands

Ability to lift 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.

Work Environment
  • Position based in Stillwater, OK.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
