Part-time Instructor, Culinary

• Experience working in a commercial kitchen setting required.
• Provide hands‑on instruction in a classroom/kitchen setting to adult students in introductory culinary arts topics.
• Must be or be willing to obtain Serv Safe certification upon employment.
• The work schedule for this position requires flexibility to work at one or two evenings per week as scheduled throughout the spring, summer and fall semesters.

• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of and experience in the appropriate subject matter.
• Instruct students in competency‑based program curriculum using current instructional strategies appropriate to the subject matter to assure highest quality classroom instruction.
• Effectively manage the classroom to create an optimal learning environment.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records of student attendance, academic progress and grades as required by district policy and certification/regulatory agencies.
• Ensure syllabus, supply list and lesson plans are current prior to each class taught.
• Demonstrate effective people skills, communication skills and professionalism (i.e. – prepared, reliable, responsible, punctual, etc.).
• Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the mission and goals of Tulsa Tech's ACD program.
• Participate in professional development opportunities as required by the ACD department.
• Perform all other duties as may be assigned by management from time to time.

High School Diploma or equivalent; graduate of culinary program.

Standard rate schedule for non-regular (temporary, adjunct, substitute) and regular part‑time employees

$35 per hour
