SUMMARY:
Assist the principal in providing school-wide leadership and to develop essential skills for the role of principal.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Supervises certified and non-certified personnel as assigned by the principal.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the district's policies and applicable laws including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE:
Thorough knowledge of generally accepted principles of educational leadership, strategic planning, and instructional practices for students. Knowledge of procedures, techniques and strategies pertaining to the operation of a school. Ability to carry out responsibilities with little or no supervision. Ability to lead multiple priorities with frequent interruptions. Ability to effectively analyze problems, issues, and concerns for the purpose of formulating appropriate alternative solutions.
Ability to interact effectively with students, staff, parents, and community members. Organizational, prioritization, communication and interpersonal skills are required to achieve the goals of this position.
LANGUAGE
SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret English language including common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from parents, other district personnel, or members of the community. Ability to effectively present information to a variety of audiences in a variety of settings.
MATHEMATICAL
SKILLS:
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts and mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
REASONING ABILITY:
