System One is working with a client to find an Avionics Tech (Day Shift).
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and test avionics and electronic components.
- Perform functional testing using approved test equipment and procedures.
- Interpret CMMs, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Perform soldering, component replacement, and circuit board repair as required.
- Complete work in compliance with FAA regulations, company procedures, and quality standards.
- Accurately complete work orders, inspection documentation, and repair records.
- Identify discrepancies and communicate findings to supervisors or engineering.
- Maintain proper handling of ESD-sensitive components.
- Ensure proper care and calibration of test equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with FOD and safety procedures.
- Support continuous improvement and production efficiency initiatives.
- Experience working with avionics systems, electronic assemblies, or aircraft components.
- Associate's degree or certification in Avionics Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Experience with electronic troubleshooting and testing equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented production environment.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and work order tracking.
- Strong communication skills for documenting work and interacting with team members.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings or weekends as needed.
- Knowledge of CMM procedures and aviation regulatory requirements (preferred).
- IPC solder certification or equivalent electronics repair experience (preferred).
- Experience with avionics test benches or automated test equipment (preferred).
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs occasionally.
- Good manual dexterity for precision electronic work.
- Ability to work with small components and fine wiring.
