  • Bailey Medical Center offers a full range of medical services, including general surgery, maternity, gynecology, bariatrics, orthopedics and emergency care. The 73-bed hospital is one of the most technologically advanced hospitals in the region.

The Polysomnographic Technologist performs various polysomnograms and other sleep disorder tests under the direction of the Sleep Lab Medical Director.

  • Responsible for electrode attachment and monitoring of patients who are participating in a sleep study.
  • Monitors the patient throughout the sleep study and documents observations, collects data from various monitors and reports this information to the physician.
  • Responsible for CPAP titration and oxygen therapy when applicable.
  • Scores reports.

Job Requirements

  • Certified Polysomnographic Technologist (CPSGT) upon hire.
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential within one year of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 14 days of hire.
  • Knowledge of sleep disorders, testing methodologies, and patient monitoring practices.
  • Skill in operating polysomnographic equipment and related software systems.
  • Ability to analyze physiologic data and maintain accurate documentation.

Preferred

Job Requirements:

  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience.
