Description
The Recruiter is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process to attract, assess, and hire qualified candidates who align with the A New Leaf’s (ANL) mission, values, and operational needs. This role partners closely with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, develops targeted recruitment strategies, and ensures a consistent, compliant, and positive candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding handoff.

- Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for assigned positions.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand job requirements and hiring timelines.
- Develop and maintain inclusive job postings.
- Proactively source candidates through multiple channels.
- Conduct initial candidate screenings.
- Candidate Experience & Selection Support
- Coordinate interviews and communicate next steps.
- Maintain professional candidate communication.
- Support structured interviewing and selection practices.
- Assist with reference and background checks.
- Onboarding & Hiring Compliance
- Prepare and extend employment offers.
- Ensure completion of pre-hire documentation.
- Maintain compliance with hiring laws and policies.
- Track recruitment activity in ANL’s designated HRIS.
- Recruitment Strategy & Continuous Improvement
- Track recruitment metrics.
- Recommend strategies for hard-to-fill roles.
- Build community recruitment partnerships.
- Participate in job fairs and outreach events.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to benefit the mission of the organization.
- Have and maintain a valid driver’s license, including dependable vehicle/transportation to and from work, and automobile insurance coverage at all times, to ensure you are eligible to operate company vehicles.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Work flexible schedule based on the those served by and the needs of A New Leaf, Inc., including but not limited to working scheduled evenings or weekends based on the department/event need.
- Expressed desire to work with as well as a positive attitude when working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism.
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to thrive and be productive equally in a team oriented or autonomous environment.
- Proficiency with Human Resources systems and Microsoft Office platforms.

- Must have Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Must have minimum of 2 years recruiting experience.
- Must have knowledge of recruitment laws and practices.
- Preference given if shown experience in nonprofit and human services recruitment, competency-based interviewing, and SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar certification.
- Prolonged period sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Bending, stooping, and lifting a minimum of 20lbs.
