If the parts are not properly prepared in a timely manner, the rest of the machine shop cannot maintain their commitment to provide the best customer experience in general aviation.

For this reason, it is imperative that the Parts Preparation Specialist meet the following performance competencies: collaborative work ethic, interpersonal communication, stress management, time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail. The Parts Preparation Specialist also must have certain skills, or the ability to acquire them through proper training and development. Those skills are lifting up to 100 lbs. unassisted, the ability to use both manual and power tools, stand on their feet for long periods of time, physical range of motion that requires bending, squatting and other basic movements, and the ability to read, write, and interpret instructions.

As you can see, the Parts Preparation Specialist is a key player on the Aircraft Specialties Services team.
