Media Director

What You'll Do

• Lead media strategy
  - Partner with account managers and clients to set goals, define KPIs, and build compelling media plans.
• Direct campaigns
  - Oversee media buying across channels (digital and traditional), negotiating rates and placements that maximize performance.
• Manage the media department
  - Mentor staff, delegate execution for assistance, and ensure quality across all media campaigns.
• Build client relationships
  - Serve as a trusted strategic advisor, presenting recommendations/outcomes and defending media spend.
• Build/maintain media partner relationships
  - Request avails, negotiate rates,consider presented opportunities.
• Measure and optimize
  - Track campaign performance, identify optimization opportunities, and deliver results reporting.
• Learn, embrace, and deploy – Enjoy learning and deploying the latest capabilities for enhanced media campaign execution.
• Grow the business
  - Contribute to new business proposals, presentations and help identify expansion opportunities with existing clients.

Your Experience

• 5+ years in media planning/buying – Preferably at an agency; you understand the strategy-to-execution workflows.
• Leadership experience
  - Comfortable managing people and mentoring team members.
• Channel expertise
  - Deep knowledge of digital, paid search, display, social, and traditional media; you know how to maximize the client's budget to protect reach and frequency.
• Client-facing skills
  - You're comfortable presenting to clients, defending recommendations, and building long-term trust.
• Analytical mindset
  - You tie media spend to outcomes and analyze campaign performance data to help inform strategic recommendations/optimizations.
• Media execution expert
  - Comfortable with media planning software, building campaigns on a self-serve DSP, and all digital media ad platforms (Meta, Reddit, Snap Chat, Tik Tok, Linked In, ChatGPT, Google, Bing, etc.).
