Quality Control Technician

Pay Rate: $17.00/hr

Location: Owasso, OK 74055

Shift: 1st Shift – 6:00 AM–4:00 PM

Job Type: Temp to Hire

Pay: $16.50/hr

Hours: 1st Shift 6:00 AM–4:00 PM with OT as needed

Job Overview

The Quality Control Technician monitors production processes to ensure compliance with food safety regulations (USDA, GMP, HACCP) and company policies. This role performs quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods while maintaining detailed documentation. The Quality Control Technician works closely with production and sanitation teams to maintain food safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with USDA, GMP, HACCP, and company policies
  • Perform routine quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records including quality control logs and inspection reports
  • Ensure documentation complies with regulatory and audit requirements
  • Assist with preparation and submission of reports for audits
  • Perform product testing such as temperature checks, pH testing, moisture analysis, and weight checks
  • Ensure all test results are within specified limits and report deviations
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining food safety and quality policies
  • Stay current with regulatory updates and industry standards
  • Provide feedback to production staff on food safety and quality practices
  • Communicate quality or safety concerns promptly
  • Provide guidance on proper handling, storage, and processing of materials
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in food science or related field is a plus
  • Experience in food safety or quality assurance preferred
  • Knowledge of HACCP, SPC, GMP, SSOP, and food safety regulations preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work in cold or refrigerated environments
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and regulated environment
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English;
    Spanish is helpful but not required
