Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist in conducting internal audits.
- Support external customer and regulatory audits (FAA, NADCAP).
- Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Review, track, and close audit findings and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with FAA Part 145 requirements and customer‑specific quality requirements.
- Assist with supplier audits and vendor list evaluations.
- Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Review and approve special process documentation (plating, coatings, NDT, shot peen, etc.).
- Support quality training and awareness programs for shop floor and office personnel.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field OR 5+ years in FAA/EASA regulated environment.
- Basic understanding of QMS and auditing concepts.
- Knowledge of aerospace standards (AS9100, FAA regulations).
- Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and process discipline.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Preferred:
Prior internship/co‑op or 1–2 years’ FAA/EASA experience; familiarity with special processes (NDT, coatings, heat treat); internal auditing experience; AS9100 Internal Auditor certification (training can be provided).
