** Baker's Bay Golf & Ocean Club is seeking an Assistant Golf Professional to join the Golf Operations Department.
The Assistant Golf Professional oversees and manages the day-to-day golf operation set forth by the Director of Golf. This includes, but is not limited to, the execution of daily activities combined with management of staff, as well as providing a unique and world class golf experience to members and guests consistent with Discovery Land Company standards. Moreover, in conjunction with the Director, the Assistant Golf Professional will take personal responsibility for the professional delivery and development of all aspects of the golf operations and ensure that members' and guests’ expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
** Key Responsibilities
*** Personalize and greet all members and guests who utilize the golf facilities.
* Direct daily line-ups with player service team.
* Ensure daily tasks are completed by player service team.
* Provide expert advice, a high-quality custom fitting and club repair service while delivering customer service excellence.
* Deliver a high standard of support in golf operations, including organizing and managing tournaments.
* Provide expert advice on rules, monitoring tee sheet activity and handicapping records, and player service operations.
* Establish review and maintain a clean, safe, and tidy working environment, ensuring that Health and Safety procedures comply with local and international legislation.
* Develop, implement and review operational policies regarding the use of Club facilities to maintain quality service standards for members and guests, whilst maximizing revenue and profitability.
* Produce regular operation reports.
* Manage Inventory control for amenity items.
* Provide consistent and knowledgeable updates and feedback on operations to the Director of Golf, including new and creative ways to improve the operation.
* Enforce rules and regulations on the golf course.
* Provide/communicate necessary information to player service team after staff meetings
* Manage rental club inventory.
* Manage and track Guest information utilized for all golf-related charges.
* Provide members and guests with golf instruction.
* Assist the Head Golf Professional, the Director of Golf, and the retail staff when requested.
* Assist other departments in providing Discovery Land Club experiences when necessary.
** Qualifications
* ** Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar or related capacity.
* Graduate of a Recognized PGM Program highly desired.
* Golf Genius Expert at the international level.
* Must possess exceptional customer services skills.
* Must possess exceptional knowledge of scheduling and executing corporate golf events and tournaments.
* Must possess the ability to effectively manage, oversee and maintain a golf course at the international level.
* Must possess the ability to understand and apply the rules and regulations of golf at the international level.
* Must possess the ability to teach the game of golf at all levels.
