Media Educational Assistant​/Maker Space

Position Summary

The Media Center Educational Assistant assists students and teachers in the use of the Educational Media Center and relevant resources according to the protocols established by the principal and Media Specialist. The assistant supervises and assists students in accessing and using media resources and technologies, and helps facilitate student testing according to state testing requirements and district and school protocols.

High school diploma required; at least a two‑year degree preferred. Proficient in Google Suite applications and district instructional software programs used by students. Must demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills with students and adults.

• Provide a variety of strategies for working with students in the IMC setting.
• Exhibit flexibility in day‑to‑day dealings with staff and students.
• Maintain confidentiality of all student information.
• Perform duties within a structured daily schedule and with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies; establish and maintain effective working relationships with teachers, parents, and students.
• Reliable and consistent attendance.

7:40 am – 2:40 pm, Monday–Friday student contact days.

B‑2‑1 / $18.64 – $22.44 per hour, depending on experience.
