Position SummaryThe Classroom Educational Assistant supports classroom teachers and school staff in meeting the educational needs of every student, with a primary focus on serving 9-12 ALC students. Responsibilities include reinforcing skills through reading and math groups, supporting social-emotional development, and providing supervision as needed. The role promotes a high-quality learning environment for all students.
Responsibilities- Assist teachers with classroom instruction and student support.
- Lead reading and math groups for 9-12 ALC students.
- Reinforce social-emotional skills and provide supervision.
- Maintain a supportive and equitable learning environment.
- High School Diploma or GED required;
Associate degree preferred. - Consistent and reliable attendance.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
- Growth mindset and flexibility as a professional.
- Strong equity lens, ensuring all students learn at high levels.
- Ability to build impactful professional relationships with students, staff, and stakeholders.
- Bilingual abilities preferred.
5.5 hours/day, Monday-Friday, 8:15 am-2:15 pm.
Pay RateB-2-1 $ 18.64 – $22.44 per hour, depending on experience.
