Manufacturing Engineer

* Design, manufacture and/or program final product, individual components, prototypes, tooling and manufacturing devices (custom design fixtures and devices for in-house use).
* Evaluate highly technical production and process problems and coordinate investigations and improvements.
* Estimate manufacturing costs, develop time standards and develop processes for various operations.
* Lead in developing new operation layouts to maximize utilization of floor space and man-power.
* Key contributor to capital equipment selection and purchases.
* Implement Lean Manufacturing techniques to reduce non-value added activities and increase quality, delivery, safety, customer satisfaction and minimize production costs.
* Coordinate tooling to support design specifications and schedule for new products or enhancements.
* Initiate and process Engineering Changes in an accurate and timely manner.
* Lead, track, update and communicate progress of assigned engineering projects.
* Leverage data analytics to make strategic and tactical business decisions.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.
* High School Diploma
* 0-3 year’s working experience in an Engineering role
* Must be fluent in blueprint reading
* Must be experienced in computer skills with MS Word, CAD CAM Systems and Excel
* Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering field and/or 0-3 years’ working experience
* Ability to create designs using Solid Works
* Robotic welding experience
* Experience / training in Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement At Life Fitness / Hammer Strength,
