The Warehouse General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, profitability, and customer satisfaction of the warehouse operation. This role oversees all warehouse activities, including safety, inventory management, staffing, transportation coordination, facility management, and financial performance.
The Warehouse General Manager is expected to lead by example, develop high‑performing teams, drive operational excellence, and ensure customer commitments are met while maintaining a safe, efficient, and profitable operation.
Key Responsibilities- Lead all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, shipping, and transportation coordination.
- Manage labor, budgets, operating expenses, and warehouse profitability.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships while ensuring service commitments are met.
- Recruit, coach, and develop warehouse employees and supervisors.
- Maintain compliance with safety, regulatory, customer, and company requirements.
- Ensure inventory accuracy and effective utilization of WMS and operational systems.
- Oversee facility, equipment, and asset maintenance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, quality, and customer service.
- 5+ years of warehouse or logistics leadership experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience managing labor, operational performance, and customer relationships.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and transportation.
- Experience with warehouse management systems and operational technology preferred.
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in warehouse environments.
- Willingness to support warehouse operations during staffing shortages or peak periods.
- Ability to work extended hours when business needs require.
