Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

Quanex is looking for a Maintenance Technician - 2nd shift to join our team located in Owatonna, Minnesota.

The hours for this role are Monday - Thursday, 3:30pm - 2am.

In this role you are responsible for repairing machinery as required. You will also actively participate in maintenance, failure avoidance, failure elimination, and continuous improvement maintenance functions.

What Success Looks Like:

• Complete preventative maintenance as required both safely and procedurally.
• Knowledge of electrical, PLCs, and schematics.
• Operate basic and advanced shop tools as required to maintain or repair equipment.
• Have a clear understanding of Lockout Tagout (LOTO).
• Maintain written documentation of work performed.

What You Bring:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to train others as needed.
• Ability to read drawings, blueprints, and hydraulic schematics.
• Experience with fabrication, changing out cylinders, oils, solvents, greases.
• General construction knowledge.

The hourly wage for this position starts at $24.00 per hour with an additional $2.50 per hour in shift differential.
