Production Superintendent 2nd Shift

Quanex is looking for a Production Superintendent - 2nd shift to join our team located in Owatonna, Minnesota
.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for driving performance across production teams while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and on‑time delivery. Hours are Monday‑Thursday 3:30 pm‑2 am.

• Lead with safety as the top priority by ensuring compliance with all company policies and OSHA regulations.
• Plan and manage production schedules across manufacturing departments to meet customer demand and delivery commitments.
• Oversee daily production activities to ensure product quality, efficiency targets, and lead‑time expectations are consistently met.
• Hire, train, coach, and develop team members—including temporary staff—to build a strong, engaged workforce.
• Adjust staffing levels, overtime, and resources needed to achieve production and delivery goals.
• Must be comfortable leading on the shop floor and engaging directly with employees in a high‑accountability manufacturing environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a metal fabrication environment, with strong knowledge of fabrication processes.
• Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within an ISO 9001 manufacturing setting (fast‑paced environments preferred).
• Bilingual (Spanish and/or Somali) is a plus.

The targeted salary range for this position is $105K to $120K.
