Production Lead – Second Shift
The Production Lead ensures preparation, mix, and agglomeration are completed according to customer instructions, sterilizes raw product, and ensures product purity. This role involves operating all processing equipment, monitoring process controls, and escalating issues within the blend areas.
Shift: 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday‑Thursday with overtime optional.
LocationOwatonna, MN – part of the Dry Beverage Division. The site hosts approximately 50 employees working on product formulations, ingredient processing, and particle coating solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Mix and blend batches according to customer formulas, verifying each ingredient and amount added.
- Record all data accurately on the batch sheet.
- Verify ingredient lot numbers and quantities before use.
- Continuously monitor process controls and documentation, sign charts, and record processor parameters hourly to meet customer standards and address any out‑of‑spec conditions immediately.
- Monitor the system for sterility issues and report mechanical problems to Maintenance or the Production Supervisor.
- High School graduate or equivalent required;
Associate’s degree preferred. - Minimum one year of food or chemical manufacturing experience.
- Self‑motivated and conscientious with strong teamwork skills.
- Competent in operating and cleaning three processing systems.
- Ability to follow GMPs and food safety policies.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to train others.
- Maintain good attendance and availability for overtime (less than 2.5 points).
- Six months prior lift truck operation and safety certification.
- Proficiency in MS Office required; SAP preferred.
Pay range: $23.50 – $26.00 per hour.
Sign‑On Bonus: $3,000.
Compensation is performance‑based and may vary by individual qualifications and experience.
