Operations Manager

Southwest, MN | Direct Hire | $90,000 - $125,000

Konik is partnering with a well-established manufacturer of custom industrial equipment seeking an Operations Manager to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for a hands‑on manufacturing leader who enjoys working in a highly collaborative environment where no two days look the same. You'll oversee production scheduling, materials management, inventory, shipping, safety initiatives, equipment maintenance, and shop personnel while partnering closely with engineering and leadership to support continued company growth.

Manager Responsibilities
  • Lead daily manufacturing operations, production scheduling, and workforce planning
  • Supervise shop personnel and assign work to ensure on-time project completion
  • Manage inventory, materials allocation, purchasing, and vendor relationships
  • Coordinate shipping, logistics, and production support activities
  • Maintain equipment, facility resources, and preventive maintenance programs
  • Drive safety initiatives, employee training, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Support engineering with manufacturing input, technical problem solving, and customer quote preparation
  • Lead production meetings and maintain production scheduling and backlog reporting tools
Operations Manager Qualifications
  • 3+ years of manufacturing leadership, production management, or operations management experience
  • Background in welding, fabrication, sheet metal, pressure vessels, or industrial manufacturing environments
  • Experience with production scheduling, inventory management, and materials planning
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
  • Associate degree in Engineering, Welding Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or related field preferred
