Communities That Care (CTC) Coordinator

President, UWSC - Full-Time, Exempt - $56,000-$58,000

Primary:
United Way of Steele County Office or Teen Center, with office time at various locations throughout Steele County, MN (flexible hours, including evenings/weekends as needed)

The Communities That Care (CTC) Coordinator leads the implementation of the Communities That Care prevention framework while advancing United Way of Steele County’s broader Community Impact strategies. This role ensures full compliance with the Minnesota Department of Health SUPER grant while integrating prevention, youth development, and community engagement efforts into a cohesive, data-driven system that improves outcomes for youth and families.

The Coordinator plays a central role in aligning community partners, mobilizing volunteers, supporting strategic initiatives, and driving measurable change across priority impact areas.

CTC Grant Implementation & Compliance
  • Lead all five phases of the CTC model
  • Facilitate the Community Board and Core Workgroup
  • Coordinate youth surveys and analyze data
  • Develop and implement a community action plan
  • Ensure compliance with all grant requirements, timelines, and deliverables
  • Track outcomes and prepare required reports
  • Collaborate with finance staff to manage the grant budget
Community Impact Strategy & Implementation
  • Support execution of United Way Community Impact priorities
  • Participate in Strategic Impact and Community Investments processes
  • Align CTC work with broader community goals
  • Help develop cross-sector initiatives
  • Evaluate programs and recommend improvements
Community Engagement & Partnerships
  • Build relationships with community partners
  • Facilitate coalition meetings and trainings
  • Promote youth engagement and leadership
  • Expand partnerships to increase impact
Volunteer & Engagement Systems
  • Support Volunteer United strategies
  • Develop volunteer training and systems
  • Increase community participation
Communication & Outreach
  • Develop outreach materials
  • Represent United Way at events
  • Communicate with community partners
Events & Special Projects
  • Coordinate Community Impact events
  • Support special projects and initiatives
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 3+ years experience in community work
  • Grant management experience
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills
Preferred
  • Familiarity with CTC framework
  • Coalition-building experience
  • Knowledge of Steele County
  • Bilingual preferred
