Registered Nurse – Emergency Department.
Shift: Permanent nights, 12‑hour shift, 24 hours per week, every 3rd weekend rotation. FTE: 0.6 (48 hours per two‑week pay period). Date posted:

- Conduct comprehensive assessment of patient and family needs and determine patient goals, objectives, and outcomes.
- Create and adapt individualized plan of care, supervise progress, and modify as needed.
- Maintain current education and competencies, ensuring delivery of high quality patient care.
- Integrate evidence‑based nursing practice while following applicable statutes, rules, and regulations.
- Collaborate with family, patient, and interdisciplinary team to establish realistic, measurable outcomes based on diagnoses and available resources.
- Ensure outcomes are age‑appropriate, culturally appropriate, realistic, and attainable.
- Coordinate, collaborate, and delegate tasks effectively to provide safe, efficient care.
- Meet all organizational policy and regulatory requirements.
- When acting as Charge Nurse, coordinate unit operations, delegate assignments, and lead staff in collaboration with leadership and other disciplines.
- When acting as Preceptor, identify learning needs of new staff, design learning experiences, and validate clinical competence.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate’s or Vocational degree (required). Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Prior experience as an ED registered nurse preferred.
- Licensed Registered Nurse – Minnesota Board of Nursing required if working in MN;
Wisconsin Department of Safety & Professional Services required if working in WI. - Must hold at least one of the following:
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross.
- Allina in‑house BLS training completed within 30 days of hire.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required within 1 year of hire.
- Additional certifications may be required depending on site, including:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- Other certifications as needed within 1 year of hire.
Medium effort with occasional lifting up to 32lbs and frequent lifting up to 25lbs.
Pay Range$40.68 to $67.59 per hour (base hourly rate varies with experience, education, and union agreement).
