Registered Nurse (RN) - Outpatient Surgical Dermatology

Role Overview:

The registered nurse (RN) is responsible for coordinating patient care, including direct patient interactions, education, and care transitions. They support professional nursing practices across various settings, ensuring high-quality care aligned with the Mayo Clinic Nursing Practice Model and ANA standards.

• Providing leadership through preceptor roles, committee participation, and quality improvement
• Delegating patient care based on skill, experience, and resources
• Mentoring, teaching, and communicating effectively with patients, families, and team members
• Supporting professional development and participating in cross-training within dermatology and other specialties

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Minimum of one year RN experience; BSN preferred
• Experience in dermatology preferred, with strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in computer systems and electronic medical records
• Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing situations

• Current RN license as per state requirements
• Valid BLS certification
• Additional licensure or certifications as needed for specific work areas

This nonexempt role offers competitive pay ($35.84 - $58.84 per hour), comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional growth. The position involves full-time hours, primarily Monday-Friday day shifts, with no weekend requirements. The role may require driving a personal vehicle for work-related duties and supports TN sponsorship for eligible candidates.
