Role Overview

Responsibilities

As a Human Resources Expert, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:

  • Create an easy, inspiring, friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments.
  • Greet guests warmly; smile, make eye contact, or wave.
  • Help guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience.
  • End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
  • Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude.
  • Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience.
  • Work with your HR leader to anticipate and address specific talent and staffing needs for each area of the business; this includes understanding guests’ needs and ensuring the right mix of experience and skills to deliver on in‑store and digital shopping experiences.
  • Lead focused recruiting efforts to help store leaders find and hire candidates.
  • Support team‑member and leader training needs and advocate for continuous learning.
  • Act as an expert resource for scheduling systems and pay practices.
  • Be approachable and available by listening to team members and collaborating with appropriate leaders to take action as needed.
  • Deliver on all HR processes and programs to maximize team‑member engagement and minimize business disruption.
  • Support your leader in following company compliance policies that mitigate risk to the team‑member experience.
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
  • Perform other duties as needed based on business requirements.

  • Remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established time frames.
Physical and Work Conditions
  • Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
  • Frequent lifting or moving merchandise up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 44 pounds.
  • Perform duties in varying temperatures, humidity and other environmental elements, including Drive‑Up and carryout.
  • Remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
  • Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); attend scheduled shifts and take required meal and rest breaks.
