Location: MarkdaleThe Maintenance Procurement Assistant supports the department by ensuring the efficient receipt, handling, and distribution of stock and non-stock items to designated locations. The role requires accurate inventory record-keeping in accordance with departmental procedures. Additionally, the assistant provides cross-departmental support as needed to facilitate the smooth operation of all facilities.
Job Duties:
Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software), ensuring accurate documentation and proper placement in designated storage areasMaintain accurate inventory records, perform cycle counts, and conduct daily supply checks across facilitiesMonitor usage trends and maintain established minimum and maximum stock levels, initiating replenishment to ensure continuous availability while adhering to company purchasing policies and approval proceduresEstablish and organize inventory locations for newly acquired stock items.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe parts room, including shelves, counters, and stockroomsEnsure proper recycling and disposal of packaging materials in accordance with company sustainability and waste management guidelinesRestock consumables such as gloves, hairnets, PPE, boots, freezer wear, and other essential supplies across all facilitiesCoordinate and prepare supplies for visitors, plant tours, and operational needs year-roundAssist employees in locating and sourcing stocked and non-stocked items, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of requestsProvide cross-departmental support with the movement, packing, shelving, and transport of materials, including heavy or bulk itemsSign for deliveries and operate equipment, such as hoists, when requiredTransport parts, paperwork, and supplies between facilities as neededExercise care when handling and transporting materials to prevent damage to walls, equipment, and furnishingsSupport continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to cost-saving measures within inventory and supply processesRequirements:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environmentComfortable working independently and as part of a teamProficiency with computers and inventory/maintenance systemsAbility to safely lift and move materials as neededWhat We Offer:
