Location: Lion's Head
You’ll partner closely with a solo founder to launch a website, shape authentic brand messaging, and kickstart marketing that brings in customers—providing reliable, predictable support so the business can grow while the founder balances parenting and work.
Responsibilities- Co-develop brand positioning, voice, and core messaging so all outward-facing content feels authentic and differentiated
- Lead and manage the website launch tasks (content support, page builds, QA, publishing) in collaboration with the founder
- Plan and execute initial marketing activities (content calendar, email, social posting, basic outreach) to drive early customer traction
- Create and maintain project plans, timelines, and task ownership to keep the website and marketing work on track
- Handle administrative marketing tasks (uploading content, scheduling posts, basic CMS updates, and lightweight design edits)
- Manage incoming leads and basic communications workflows, escalating or routing to the founder as needed
- Run regular check-ins and co-planning sessions to align priorities, review progress, and adjust next steps
- Track simple performance indicators (website launch milestones, basic engagement metrics, lead inquiries) and report outcomes to the founder
- Demonstrable marketing instincts and experience shaping brand messaging or storytelling for a small business or startup (provide examples/portfolio)
- Proven reliability and follow-through on projects—able to keep tasks moving and hit agreed-upon milestones
- Experience collaborating closely with founders or small teams, and comfort with frequent check-ins and iterative feedback
- Practical experience with content management systems or website builders (e.g., Word Press, Webflow, Squarespace) or the ability to learn quickly
- Experience executing basic marketing activities (social posting, email basics, content planning) with examples of outcomes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while remaining highly collaborative and aligned with the founder
- Availability for part-time hours with a willingness to grow into a fuller role as the business scales
- Prior experience launching websites end-to-end or supporting site launches
- Familiarity with simple analytics/reporting (Google Analytics, basic social metrics)
- Experience working with solo founders, parents, or in family-run small businesses
- Reports directly to the founder; role is highly collaborative with regular co-planning and check-ins
- Remote (virtual role); preference for candidates based in Canada but open to remote applicants
- Part-time initially, with opportunity to transition to full-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours:
No more than 10.0 per week
