Location: Hanover
Join a dedicated hatchery team as a Full-Time Floater in Hanover, ON. Contribute to various tasks, support chick deliveries, and uphold animal welfare standards, ensuring a positive impact on food sustainability.
We are looking for a reliable and motivated individual to become part of our hatchery team. This full-time position involves learning multiple roles across the operation, including working in separation and sanitation areas, along with chick delivery support. Your commitment to safe work practices and team collaboration will be essential for success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Determine gender and quality of day-old chicks
• Rotate in separator and tray wash areas
• Support chick deliveries to farm operations
• Assist sanitation team as required
• Manage inventory during receiving duties
Requirements:
• Commitment to safe work practices
• Understand Animal Welfare and Biosecurity procedures
• Ability to work both individually and in teams
• Proven organizational and time management skills
• Capable of lifting 40 – 50 lbs. overhead
