Bookkeeper Accountant

Job Description

Marcum Search LLC is assisting our well-established law firm client in their search for a full-time Bookkeeper/Accountant to work in their downtown Cleveland, Ohio office. The accountant will perform accounting duties including full-cycle accounting through monthly, quarterly and yearly closings. The ideal person will also have the willingness and ability to support light HR duties.

• Lead all accounting efforts for the firm, working closely with the partners.
  • Including general ledger accounting, invoicing, billing, collections, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
• Report information to partners, accounting firm, and financial institutions.
• Additional accounting and HR responsibilities as required to meet the needs of the business.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting strongly preferred.
• 4 plus years of accounting experience.
• Law firm experience would be a plus, but not required.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Computer proficiency in standard Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Experience with Quick Books.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently without supervision.
