The Sterling Choice is partnering with a well-established manufacturing organization to identify a Cost Accountant to join its team. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working close to operations and wants to play a key role in understanding and improving manufacturing costs.

This position will have significant exposure to plant operations, inventory, product costing, and financial performance, working closely with both accounting and operational leadership.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Maintain and review product costing and inventory information to ensure accuracy.
  • Analyze manufacturing costs and identify key drivers behind variances.
  • Review labor, overhead, material usage, yield, and production variances.
  • Compare actual manufacturing results against budgets and expected costs.
  • Investigate discrepancies between operational activity and financial results.
  • Assist with general ledger reconciliations and resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Partner with plant and operations leadership to explain financial results and cost trends.
  • Prepare and present recurring cost and variance reports to management.
  • Support month-end close activities related to inventory and manufacturing costs.
  • Serve as a financial resource to operations by answering questions and helping identify opportunities for improved cost control.
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvements within the accounting and manufacturing environment.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2+ years of experience in within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of inventory, manufacturing costs, and financial analysis.
  • Experience analyzing labor, overhead, material, yield, or production variances.
