Clinic Administrative Assistant (PY)
Position located at University of Georgia Athens.
Position OverviewThe Clinic Administrative Assistant provides comprehensive administrative and front‑line operational support for clinical services, serving as the primary point of contact for patients, families, and visitors. This position ensures efficient patient flow, accurate registration and scheduling processes, and exceptional customer service while maintaining compliance with UHC policies and healthcare regulations. Reports to the Clinic Manager. This is a partial‑year position off June and July.
Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Front Desk:
Receives patients and others in a timely and courteous manner; verifies eligibility for care at UHC; updates demographic information; obtains and verifies insurance information; provides telephone coverage; answers general questions; monitors reception area; verifies completed Annual Patient Agreement; respects confidentiality. - Scheduling:
Schedules appointments accurately and appropriately; communicates necessary information to patients; verifies eligibility and requires patient questionnaire; collaborates with clinic staff to monitor schedules; refers complex cases to nurse or manager. - Administrative Duties:
Provides clerical and secretarial support; obtains records when needed; maintains logs, files, forms, and other clinic records; directs releases to RHI department. - Patient Care:
Provides patient care support to facilitate patient flow; documents clearly and accurately; assists clinician with exam and treatments ensuring safety.
Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, and walk as needed for 8‑hour shifts. No driving responsibility. Position of Trust:
