Maintenance Equipment Operator

Operates equipment and machinery;
Performs maintenance and labor as needed regarding street/stormwater operations. Performs various construction/roadwork duties, such as working with asphalt, dirt, concrete, or other activities.

Starting pay $23.6327/hr.

• Performs concrete finishing operations,
• Monitors/maintains City streets/alleys,
• Smooths, levels, and finishes surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls. sidewalks, or curbs to specified textures,
• Operates backhoes, mini excavators, front loaders and skid steers to perform street and stormwater operations,
• Performs minor maintenance on heavy trucks,
• Performs routine and preventative maintenance on streets, street signs, property, facilities, stormwater drainage ways,
• Performs snow and water removal.

• High school diploma or GED
• 1 yr. experience as roadworker, equipment operator, concrete finisher, or similar position (Equivalent amount of education and/or experience is acceptable)
• Valid driver's license

• Valid CDL, Class B or higher
