Project Executive – Commercial Mechanical Construction (HVAC, Sheet Metal & Plumbing) - Data Centers, Industrial Manufacturing & Life Sciences Facilities - Ohio

Gryphon Oakwood are currently partnered with a nationally recognized Mechanical Contractor who are seeking an experienced Project Executive to support continued growth across the Ohio market. This individual will provide executive-level oversight of major mechanical construction projects, leading operations, project teams, client relationships, and strategic growth initiatives across highly technical sectors including data centers, industrial manufacturing, and life sciences facilities.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record delivering large-scale HVAC, sheet metal, and plumbing projects while driving operational excellence, financial performance, and customer satisfaction.

• Provide executive oversight of multiple large-scale mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Lead and mentor Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Operations teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Maintain overall responsibility for project financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, profitability, and risk management.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with owners, general contractors, developers, and key industry stakeholders.
• Support business development efforts and identify opportunities for growth within the Ohio market.
• Collaborate with preconstruction and estimating teams during project pursuits and planning phases.
• Drive project execution strategies focused on safety, quality, schedule adherence, and client satisfaction.
• Review project performance metrics and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Lead contract negotiations, change order management, and dispute resolution efforts.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and client requirements.
• Participate in strategic planning and contribute to long-term operational growth initiatives.

• 10+ years of experience in mechanical construction with progressive leadership responsibilities.
• Strong background delivering HVAC, sheet metal, and plumbing projects within commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or life sciences environments.
• Experience overseeing large-scale projects and multi-project portfolios.
• Proven success managing project financials, forecasting, budgeting, and operational performance.
• Strong understanding of mechanical construction means, methods, and industry best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing project teams.
• Established relationships within the Ohio construction market are highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and client management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
