Rubies Womens Group is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping women recover and rebuild after experiencing trafficking, domestic violence, and addiction. Through housing, education, and community programs, we provide a safe and supportive space for women to heal and thrive.
Position OverviewWe are seeking a GSI (Geospatial Information) Analyst Intern to assist in mapping and analyzing data across Richland County. The goal is to identify “red zone” areas for outreach, and help support our community awareness van tour, which educates the public about human trafficking and related community issues.
Responsibilities- Collect and organize local data using GIS tools to identify high-risk areas
- Create maps and visual data reports to support outreach planning
- Work with Rubies’ outreach and communications teams to translate data into public education materials
- Assist with presentations and reports related to community awareness initiatives
- Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity around data related to vulnerable populations
- Current college student pursuing a degree in Geography, Urban Planning, Data Science, Social Work, or a related field
- Familiar with GIS software and data visualization tools
Type: Internship (Part-Time)
Location: Richland County, Ohio Stipend: $2500 total for the internship period
Hours: Approximately 10–12 hours per week
