Field Services Engineer

NETZSCH Instruments North America, LLC (Burlington, MA) is the U.S. subsidiary of a well-established, mid-sized German company known for manufacturing and selling state-of-the-art instrumentation for Thermal Analysis, Calorimetry, and Thermophysical property measurement. We also operate Commercial Testing Services with facilities in Germany, the United States, and China.

We are the technological leader in our field, and our reputation for exceptionally high-quality products has established us as the market leader in Thermal Analysis throughout Europe and Asia. Due to continued growth in North America, we are expanding our field service team and seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer based in the Mid-Atlantic Area (PA, OH, IN).

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Perform installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of all supported instrument models and accessories.
• Deliver exceptional customer support and on-site training as needed.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues, both remotely and in-person.
• Accurately document service & repair activities through detailed reports & CRM updates.
• Communicate clearly & professionally with customers before, during & after service visits.
• Promote service offerings, including service contracts and preventative maintenance plans.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering, or equivalent technical experience servicing laboratory or scientific instrumentation.
• Previous experience with installation, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation (preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A strong sense of customer service and professionalism.
• Willingness to travel extensively (up to 80%) across the U.S. and Canada.
• A valid U.S. driver’s license and reliable transportation.
