Aircraft Mechanic - MH-SOATB Fort Campbell, KY Posted

The Aircraft Mechanic 1 troubleshoots, repairs, and replaces MH47 functional components including rigging, flight controls, components, plumbing and hydraulic units, using hand tools, power tools, and special tools/test sets.

• Works supporting the SOATB MH47 program.

• Emphasis will be on flight line maintenance.

• The Aircraft Mechanic I troubleshoots malfunctions on aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulic, engines, axillary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems.

• This worker will read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.

• Must be a US citizen with valid drivers license.

• Must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

• 6+ years' experience in Army aviation.

• Ability to travel 1-2 weeks at a time / complete TDY assignments.

• Maintain aircraft logbook forms and records.

• Must be able to pass a basic physical to operate equipment/vehicles on the flight line and be a member of the aircraft towing team.

• Experience using aircraft special tools and test sets.

• Must have own tools/toolbox.

• Must be able to climb on and around aircraft and use maintenance stands.

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

• Experience with MH47 aircraft is desirable.
