• Participate in the 3–5 year Graduate Rotational Opportunities at Westlake (GROW) leadership development program
• Rotate through roles including Operations, Reliability, Capital Projects, Continuous Improvement, Process Controls, Business Management, and Supply Chain & Logistics
• Work on projects under the guidance of an assigned mentor
• Develop leadership skills and challenge convention through creative engineering solutions
• Monitor and improve processes to achieve cost savings, quality improvements, and increased efficiency
• Deliver breakthrough solutions and add value for customers
• Work in local day-to-day operations and address real-world engineering challenges
• Maintain a safety-focused approach while working in office and operating-unit environments
• Potentially progress into roles such as Process Engineer, Production Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Reliability Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Instrumentation Engineer, Continuous Improvement Engineer, or Project Engineer
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 0–2 years of relevant work experience
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Willingness to rotate to different US locations every 12–18 months for 3–5 years
- Ability and willingness to obtain a Transportation Worker’s Identification Card (TWIC)
- Strong team building, leadership and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to perform physical activities including sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching
- Ability to work in operating units with required PPE, including safety glasses and hearing protection
- Ability to travel occasionally by air or automobile
