We are looking for a Design Research Engineer passionate about research, experimentation, innovation, and solving complex engineering challenges.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct research and develop solutions for challenging battery and energy-storage problems
- Design and execute experiments to test hypotheses
- Perform scientific analysis of test and experimental data
- Support battery material characterization and cell development
- Research cathode and anode chemistries
, including Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) - Work on battery performance modeling and cell qualification
- Support battery cell manufacturing and new cell design
- Investigate battery material recycling and resource circularity
- Research rare-earth materials and battery manufacturing processes
- Utilize Agile methodologies for research and sensing initiatives
- Manage project schedules, resources, budgets, and research direction
- Communicate new research concepts and technical findings to engineering teams and management
- Collaborate with internal and external technical partners
Candidates with experience in areas such as:
- Battery R&D / Battery Engineering
- Battery Materials / Materials Science
- Cell Design & Development
- Battery Manufacturing
- Electrochemistry / Chemistry
- Lithium-Ion / LFP Batteries
- Battery Performance Modeling
- Energy Storage Research
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering
, or equivalent research experience - 2+ years of relevant experience
- Strong analytical, research, problem-solving, and experimental skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Willingness to continuously learn and develop new technical expertise
