, you aren't just managing a shift—you’re the captain of high-stakes fun, safety, and operational excellence! Reporting directly to the Director of Security and Surveillance, you’ll lead a top-tier security squad to protect our guests, team members, and high-energy property.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESLead the Crew: Supervise, train, mentor, and inspire your team of security professionals. You’ll champion talent development, performance management, and keep squad morale high.
Keep the Floor Safe & Vibrant: Ensure our facility remains clean, secure, and compliant so patrons and team members can focus on having a blast.
Master of Operations: Execute daily security strategies, enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Special Post Orders, and directives set by the Director.
Emergency & Incident Boss: Take charge during security alerts, emergencies, routine issues, or internal gaming disputes with calm, decisive leadership.
Investigate & Report: Lead investigations on property incidents (including Workers' Comp and General Liability), gather evidence/testimony, review violations, and write up detailed, clear reports.
Stand Up for Safety: Represent the property at hearings, provide testimony when called upon, and maintain an eagle-eye view of all safety standards.
Financial & Budget Savvy: Help hit departmental financial goals by forecasting shift needs, scheduling smart, controlling expenses, and helping manage the budget.
Guest-First Mindset: Deliver high-wattage hospitality! Build rock-solid relationships with guests and coworkers through friendly, professional, and positive interactions.
Play by the Rules: Ensure strict compliance with company policies, IT procedures, internal controls, Kentucky Horse Racing Commission (KHRC) rules, and state/federal regulations.

REQUIREDSKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Age Verification: Must be 21 years of age or older to apply and work within the gaming facility.
Sharp Analytical Mind: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex regulatory documents, data, and incident details to make sound decisions fast.
Cool Under Pressure: Exceptional ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and stay composed in a high‑octane, fast‑moving gaming environment.
Master Communicator: Top‑notch verbal and written communication skills for writing reports, briefing teams, and talking with guests.
People-First Leader: Proven track record of building positive team dynamics and handling guest interactions with tact, warmth, and professionalism.
Licensing Readiness: Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license and a Race and Sports book Employee License.
