The Loan Documentation Specialist
- Performs quality review on all loan types ensuring they are legal and compliant with Agency and government guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable Federal and state laws, rules and regulations .
- Reviews new and renewed commercial, consumer, mortgage, and Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) loans for legal and regulatory compliance with emphasis on the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), creating exceptions for missing or incorrect documents.
- Reviews non-originated commercial, consumer, mortgage, and HELOC applications, ensuring compliance with Equal Credit Opportunity Regulation B (REG
B) and HMDA. - Reviews exception items when presented, ensuring they meet the requirements for clearing the exception.
- Ensures loan documents retained in accordance with regulatory requirements and bank policies
- Maintains communication with internal employees, including lending staff and operations
