What you'll do
  • Conduct thorough reconciliations of revenue accounts to ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are promptly addressed.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, providing insights into revenue trends and variances.
  • Analyze revenue data from various sources, identifying patterns and anomalies that may require further investigation.
  • Work closely with sales and operations teams to gather necessary information for accurate revenue recognition and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of reconciliation processes and findings to support internal controls and audits.
  • Assist in the implementation of new financial systems and tools, ensuring a smooth transition and integration with existing processes.
  • Provide training and support to team members on revenue recognition policies and reconciliation procedures.
  • Participate in the development of best practices for revenue management, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department.
  • Prepare ad-hoc analyses and reports as requested by management to support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor compliance with accounting standards and company policies related to revenue recognition and reporting.
  • Liaise with external auditors during financial audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations regarding revenue transactions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes that may impact revenue recognition practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a financial analysis or reconciliation role, preferably within a corporate environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and revenue recognition standards.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, with advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems is a plus, particularly in relation to revenue management.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements relevant to revenue recognition.
Nice to have
  • Certification in accounting or finance (e.g., CPA, CMA) is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools to enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Experience in the technology or e-commerce sectors, where revenue models may be more complex.
